Authorship Criteria

IJoSPaT follows the ICMJE authorship criteria: every listed author must meet all four conditions below, and everyone who meets them must be listed.

1.        Made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work, or to the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data.

2.        Drafted the article or revised it critically for important intellectual content.

3.        Approved the final version to be published.

4.        Agreed to be accountable for all aspects of the work and to ensure that questions about its accuracy or integrity are investigated and resolved.

Contributor statement.
Each author’s role is described using the CRediT taxonomy (e.g. Conceptualization, Methodology, Formal analysis, Writing – original draft, Writing – review & editing).

Not authorship.
Acquiring funding, supervising the research group in general, providing administrative support or editing language alone does not justify authorship; these contributions are thanked in the Acknowledgements. Gift, guest and ghost authorship are prohibited.

Corresponding author.
One author handles communication with the journal, ensures all co-authors have approved the submission and every revision, and confirms the declarations on their behalf.

Changes to authorship.
Authors, author order and the corresponding author are fixed at submission. Any change before publication requires a written request explaining the reason, signed by all authors (including any author being removed), and approval by the editor. No changes are allowed after publication except through a correction.

AI tools cannot be authors (see Plagiarism Check and AI Writing Policy).
